32 America's Cup in Valencia

FECHAS/DATES:
Apr-Jul 2007

INFO:
Official Web site

The America’s Cup is more than a sailing regatta. It is a duel, the response to a challenge where there is no room for second place. This is the spirit of the world's oldest sporting trophy, whose name refers to the boat that achieved the first victory back in 1851: the America. The competition is divided into two parts, the Louis Vuitton Cup and the America’s Cup Match. In the first of these, the challenger teams come head to head. They have challenged the winner of the previous edition, the current defender of the cup. The winner goes on to face the defender in the exciting final trial. You can witness it all in Valencia, Spain, the host city for the 32nd America's Cup, 2007.
